Beth Johnson:
Beth holds a 3.85 GPA and is a senior at Garden City High School.
She is very active in her community and is in the Garden City
National Honor Society. She helps coach club wrestling for the
YMCA. She donates blood every 6-weeks to the Red Cross, and she
was a volunteer helper for her schools soccer team. She assists
the physical trainer/therapist for the team and that is what she
wants to study when she goes to college. She is and has been a
member of the upward bound/trio program for 3 years and has attended
their live-on campus in the summer session.
Beth has 2 sets of parents -Biological, and coach/wife.
Beth comes from a family with a high set of morals and standards.
But, is slightly spoiled with lots of love. Beth does not come
from a wealthy background. Her mother works 80- hours a week so
she can help Beth follow her dreams. In return, Beth is a great
student that teachers adore, very out going and active in her
communtity. She has a twin sister a brother and both parents that
all live together.
Beth likes playing soccer and Athletic Training. Enjoys volunteering,
specifically for the Red Cross. Also enjoys working and babysitting.
Goals are to win a gold medal in the Olympics and become a coach.
Hopes to live life without any regrets.
Beth has been wrestling for over 10 years. She
has been going to the training Camp in Colorado Springs for several
years with Coach Izzy. Beth will be living at The US Olympic Education
Center this year, her senior year.
Accomplishments:
* All-American
* 2007 Living, attending school, and training at USOEC at NMU
completing her senior year of high school.
* 2007 Gold Medal at Jr. Canada Cup (Guelph, Ontario)
* 2006 4th place at Women's Junior Nationals (Fargo,ND)
* USGWA #1 Ranked Female Wrestler at 125lbs.
* 2007 USGWA National Champion
* 5-Time USGWA National Runner-up
* 4 - Time Body Bar National Champion
* 2006 Body Bar Runner-Up
* 4-Time Girls State Champion
